Meet the Bristol Writing Collective at Bristol Folk House

Francesca Ramsay is an author, art historian and curator based in Bristol. Her first book, PINCH ME: Trying to Feel Real in the 21st Century, explores reality, connection and embodiment in the modern world, approached through the artworks that have had an impact on her. She is currently working on her first novel.

Sophia Vahdati is the author of The Girl with the Fierce Eyes, YA dystopian fantasy novel that was published by HarperCollins and made the top 20 independent bookshop bestseller list. She writes about dark, dystopian worlds with hidden magic and the complex families and women that inhabit them.

Kitty Wilson is a well-established author who has published several highly acclaimed books. She lives in Bristol and writes warm, witty romantic comedies set in Bristol, Somerset, and Cornwall. 

Mark Bowsher is a filmmaker and author of YA fantasy books The Boy Who Stole Time and The Dream-Pedlars' Parade. He's scripted an upcoming audio drama and four award-winning short films, and has had short prose stories published by Breakthrough Books and Fish Publishing. His spoof article 'Timmy Mallett: My Sunday' went viral in 2024 when people thought it was real.
