Paltin & Mr Mustard at The Forge
See event details

A gig on Friday 30th September. The event starts at 19:30.

Paltin are a Manchester-based trio combining modular synthesis and electronic influences with the performance and musicality of jazz. The intricate compositions of Romanian-born Liviu Gheorghe (Keyboards & Synths) are presented alongside Ruben Sheridan (Drums) and Andy Patterson (Bass).
Taking inspiration from the complex rhythms found in Eastern European folklore and impressionist harmony this project incorporates modular synths, samples, foley and piano into a live fusion of electronic music and improvisation. On top of composing his own music for Paltin, Liviu has contributed to releases and live performances of acts such as Matthew Halsall, Shunya, Hunrosa, and Werkha

Mr Mustard is the lovechild of Ruben Sheridan on drums (Hunrosa, Lovescene, kara.) and Jack Duckham on Bass VI(Secret Night Gang, Lovescene). Together they make experimental noises under the mantra “vibes over quality”, though their jazz, hip-hop and electronic-inspired duo has excelled at delivering both (on occasion).
