A gig held at The Gallimaufry on Friday 9th September. The event starts at 20:00.

Look no further for your Friday night soundtrack, you'll find DJ Bex and Nathan Worm on the decks and they will be providing a soulful start to your weekend.

Bristol based producer, DJ and founder of Women*s Producer Group, Bex will be selecting ambient driven tunes which are emotive and evocative. Following up on the decks will be Nathan Worm, founder of Worm Disco Club, expect jazzy tunes and sun-kissed grooves.

Joining them this week will be a pioneer of the scene, Dave Haslam, on his pit stop tour of independent venues. Dave has DJ’d over 450 times at the legendary Hacienda in Manchester during the late 1980s and has since played worldwide. He made his debut at the Hacienda on May 1st 1986. Justin Robertson, Tim Burgess, Laurent Garnier, and the Chemical Brothers all later credited his sets as an inspiration. He featured on the line-up of Stone Roses gigs at Blackpool and Spike Island, and elsewhere, and has played after parties for Depeche Mode, Gorillaz, and New Order. Through the 1990s he hosted a variety of successful club nights in Manchester, including the iconic funked-up ‘Yellow’ night at the Boardwalk. His most recent gigs have ranged from sell-out shows at cult venues like the Golden Lion (Todmorden), the New Continental (Preston), and Night & Day (Manchester) to Kendal Calling, Parma (Italy), and a residency in Paris.

He describes his DJing philosophy as “playing the best records ever made one after the other”, mixing the old and the new and the classics and the undiscovered gems into a quality, eclectic, floor-filling selection.

Can’t wait to welcome Dave to the Galli. Free entry, early arrival recommended
