Fantastic Stranger and King Heron are two power trios out of Bristol’s thriving, explorative jazz scene. Together, they make up a super-group six-piece, with both rhythm sections layering an immersive foundation for their respective leads of saxophone and guitar.
In this third and final performance of this series at The Gallimaufry, King Heron will be opening the stage to debut some tunes from their upcoming releases and then you can expect thoughtful and bombastic arrangements in equal measure; a sharing in each bands’ own repertoires as well as their take on heavyweights such as Acoustic Ladyland, Melt Yourself Down and Nate Smith.
