Rhythm Section For Hire at The Gallimaufry

A gig held at The Gallimaufry on Tuesday 28th October. The event starts at 21:30.

Rhythm Section for Hire is the long-time brainchild of Reece Bluck and Liam Twohig - with the aim to bring together Bristol’s musical community to recreate their favourite records and deep cuts. A celebration of the rhythm section and the unsung heroes of the session world.

Now presenting their debut night at The Gallimaufry: the lush, wistful, and sophisticated harmonies of Steely Dan. Beginning the chronology with songs from Can’t Buy a Thrill, Pretzel Logic, The Royal Scam, and Gaucho, before culminating in a full playthrough of their seminal record Aja.

Bristol’s finest will be stepping into the shoes of LA’s greatest session musicians, reproducing the rich, silky arrangements of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker.
