In 2005 Kamchatka released their self-titled debut Kamchatka, a 14-track album containing 3 covers: "I Love Everybody" originally written by blues-rocker Johnny Winter. The 2 other songs, "Auto Mowdown" and "Spacegirl Blues" were written by Gerald V. Casale of new wave band Devo (from compilation Hardcore Devo: Volume One). The album was recorded at Shrimpmonkey studios by Nicolas Elgstrand.

In 2007, Before Kamchatka's second album Volume II was released, guitarist Thomas Andersson collaborated on a project called King Hobo with Opeth keyboardist Per Wiberg and Clutch drummer Jean-Paul Gaster, amongst others.

Kamchatka's third album Volume III was released in March 2009. An 11-track album containing a cover of The Allman Brothers' song Whipping Post featuring Clutch drummer Jean Paul Gaster.

The fourth album Bury Your Roots, an album of 12 original tracks, was released on GMR September 5th 2011.

The fifth Kamchatka album The Search Goes On, was released on Despotz Records on February 21st 2014.

Sergeant Thunderhoof

Sergeant Thunderhoof formed in late 2013 from the ashes of many previous bands (Indica, Birds of Ares, Died Smiling, Sharp End First, Ratz Ass). The first EP (Zigurat) came out in early 2014 and explored the lyrical themes of alternative realities and histories. This fantastical basis has gone on to forge the overall theme of the band’s music throughout their work.

The first full length album (Ride of the Hoof) was released in November 2015 , followed by a live release (Live on Earth) in 2016 which was recorded in their home town of Bath in Somerset (UK).

2018 saw the release of their second full length (Terra Solus) and later in the year they appeared on ‘The Wall Redux’ record curated by Magnetic Eye Records, alongside the likes of The Melvins, ASG and Sasquatch.

Sergeant Thunderhoof remain defiantly unsigned and handle all their merch, bookings, manufacturing, design and fulfilment in-house. All their music is available for free or ‘pay what you want’ via their Bandcamp page.

For all enquiries, contact the band directly at email@sergeantthunderhoof.co.uk

Bands they have played with since 2013:
Orange Goblin, Candlemass, Elder, Gonga, Elephant Tree, Boss Keloid, Mos Generator, Karma To Burn, Raging Speedhorn, Desert Storm, Sigiriya, Suns of Thunder, Black Spiders.

Formed in 2013, long friendships, internet matchmaking, lovers of riffs, shredded drumsticks and burnt-out EL34 valves, retro, modern, louder than the chosen few.

The Grand Mal

The Grand Mal are a coming together of 2 of Oxford’s most Monolithic bands, Desert Storm and Mother Corona.
The quartet formed in 2015, looking to mash together the sexiest of grooves with the of darkest rock, creating one big ball of swinging cosmic sludge, with hooks and melodies that stain your brain for day’s and riffs that grease up your spine like the dirtiest of snakes, This heavy 4 piece are here to make you shake and blow your mind
Grand by name... Grand by nature
