A gig held at The Louisiana on Thursday 4th June. The event starts at 20:00.

Celebrating Bristol's sweethearts, The Scuttlers - launching the release of 'How Come' and 'Step out' out June 1st. Support from Uncle Junior, Why Horses? and Paper Hats.

The Scuttlers

A four-piece art-rock band operating out of the DIY Bristol scene with a technical, frantic sound and surreal folk-style rambling lyrics. Their reputation has grown fast since their first gig in 2024 in the underground of music.  They have made a mark on the scene playing hectic gigs with an unorthodox performance style across Bristol and are regular fixtures at the Windmill Brixton including a slot for IVW 2026. They’re lining up some new releases for this year.

"An inventive, unpredictable group who create enthralling art-rock musings. Their singer has the theatrics of a surreal comedian and the dance moves somewhere between Ian Curtis and David Byrne." - Pindrop zine

Uncle Junior
You would be forgiven for thinking that UncleJunior are new to the game, but despite their baby shoes, they have been honing their craft in various bedrooms since the age of 13. Growing up on a diet of punk and noise, the trio have matured into a powerful, melody-driven rock sphere, without forgetting the flavours of the past.
Upon arrival to London in March 2025, UncleJunior got stuck straight in. With a Crack Magazine rising feature and support slots for the likes of Sorry, Alien Chicks, Adult DVD, and PISS under their belts, they have set the ambitious tone of what’s to come.

Why Horses?
Why Horses? are a five-piece collective who channelthe rhythm of dance-punk and the romance of art-rock into something both honest and completely their own. They’re loud, weird, and a lot of the time quite wired. Formed by long-time collaborators Gabriel Austin Lester (guitar/vocals), Les Davies (bass), and Joel Hadi Checri (percussion), and expanded with William Dadswell (violin) and Dilibe Aneke (guitar), the band emerged from late-night Cardiff rehearsals into something stranger and more cinematic than they first imagined.

Paper Hats
Swimming strongly against the tide of post-punk revivalism, paper hats look to further shores for inspiration. The London-based emotional noise-rock quartet bring harsh sounds influenced by the crunching dissonance of ‘90s emo and post-hardcore blended with the liberating vocabulary of noise-rock to create a dynamic and cathartic sound that’ll have you screaming and jumping.

Entry requirements: 16+, any under 18s accompanied by 21+ adult 1:1 ratio
