Laura Alden at The Louisiana
See event details

A gig held at The Louisiana on Wednesday 19th November. The event starts at 20:00.

Laura Alden feels a lot, and whatever she feels finds its way into a song. Her music explores love and loss, self-renewal, and life’s ever-changing cycles — growing up in a fast-moving world. Woven throughout her songwriting is a red thread of gentleness, paired with an unapologetic honesty that deeply resonates with her listeners.

Born in Puerto Plata to Taíno Native and Italian heritage, Alden was raised in Germany but found her artistic home in Dublin, Ireland, where she first made a name for herself playing on the streets. She now crafts a sound that bridges folk and pop music —rooted in her folk music upbringing yet enriched with subtle electronica and warm acoustics. Often compared to Daughter or Birdy, her songs explore human connection and growth.

With her 2024 debut EP Homebody, she introduced herself as a songwriter, capturing the beauty of both vulnerability and strength. Her new music continues to refine this balance.
