NOVA PROMOTIONS PRESENTS
Dogsbody
The brainchild of Mimi Jones, whose songwriting has been likened to Jeff Buckley, Elliott Smith and Mazzy Star, Dogsbody craft honest songs with grungy chord progressions; every note is purposeful and every lyric deliberate. Mimi’s jazz-imbued vocals and raw delivery bring the songs into their most intimate form.
Ziggy 2000
All hail Ziggy 2000 - Bristol’s very own candy princess. With her hushed tone, fuzzy guitars and fairytale melodies, Ziggy is certainly not one to forget.
Her vibrant, zany demeanor might seem at odds with the tear-jerking lyricism that she lays bare in her oeuvre. But with a valiant yet bashful honesty, Ziggy weaves together songs that bask in the contradiction of what it is like to be sensitive, brave, vulnerable, and most importantly, a girl.
The lovechild of gritty alternative rock, dreamy shoegaze and the brazen gaudiness of the early noughties, it is as if she culminates in a dazzling puff of smoke. Be sure to expect a strong whiff of whimsy, searingly crunchy guitars and powerfully nostalgic melodies that burrow deep into your chest returning, as if conjured through her magic, back home into your heart
Eva Penney
With a sound described as 'hypnagogic' sleepy alternative folk, Eva Penney has always been as honest as possible in her music, constantly treading an uneasy line between being both captivating and cutting. Her live performances include a myriad of instruments and found sounds; harmonica samples, drum loops, synth drones, vocoder voices, and fascinating guitar parts that weave it all together, keeping everything chugging on.
Over the past few years, Eva has been dutifully crafting a family of releases and unreleased demo gems on Soundcloud; they’re warm and quietly personal, littered with downright odd but carefully chosen samples, and are so DIY they feel like home.
Eva has made a strong impression in the Bristol music scene, most recently performing shows with her band at staple venues such as The Grain Barge (supporting Eve Appleton Band), The Lanes (supporting Joely June) and Ashton Court Mansion (with Community Jam Collective), and taking part in the Independent Venues Week event at The Louisiana in 2025.
