A event on Saturday 11th April. The event starts at 12:00.
Easton, it’s time to come together Join us for the Easton People’s Council gathering — a space to meet neighbours, share ideas, and start building real community power from the ground up.
Many of us feel politics isn’t working for us right now. Trust is low and the country feels increasingly divided.
Local representatives are limited by austerity and bureaucracy. Even simple fixes can take months. But when we come together, we can make things happen.
During the event, we will host an honest conversation about community power in Easton. We will reflect on what power we currently have to shape the decisions that affect our lives and then share our ideas for what we could build together. As part of the discussion, we’d like to present a few possibilities of what we could build in Easton to participants. We imagine these to be… a) set up a neighbourhood forum, b) set up a Peoples Council, c) set up neighbourhood assemblies and d) attend the Love Stapleton Road (formerly Stapleton Rd Partnership) meetings.
This event is a chance to connect, imagine what’s possible, and take the next steps together. Saturday 11th April
