A gig on Saturday 26th April. The event starts at 20:30.

20:30 / free entry

The Slimline Shufflers are a dynamic New Orleans-style rhythm’n‘blues band hailing from Bristol, UK. With virtuosic piano playing, searing harmonica, and inspiration drawn from iconic Crescent City musicians such as Professor Longhair, James Booker, Allen Toussaint and Dr. John, their music makes it easy to imagine yourself enjoying a bowl of jambalaya on a midnight Mississippi riverboat ride. The band have honed their unique style over the past 10 years, captivating audiences across the UK.
Comprised of Henry Slim on harmonica & vocals, Eric Arthur on piano, Adam Newton on bass, and Max Harrison on drums & vocals, December 2023 saw them release their debut LP “Suspicious Blues”, which was warmly received in 2024.

Following their trip to New Orleans in April 2024, they have begun to put out a series of original songs, the first being ‘Your Tricks Are Getting Old’, released on 28 March (available on all platforms!). All being well, this will culminate in an album release in 2026.

“The Slimline Shufflers tend to focus on different sides of the blues…think maybe of Mose Allison, Willie Mabon, or even early Georgie Fame, with a really kicking rhythm section & a blues harp player.” – Blues in Britain
