Ear Trumpet Music Presents: Buena Bristol Social Club

Buena Bristol Social Club is a vibrant live project created by Michel Padron— Cuban/British trumpeter, composer, arranger, producer, artist and musical director — inspired by the spirit of the Buena Vista Social Club and reimagined through the cultural identity of Bristol.

Bringing together exceptional Cuban, Latins and Bristol-based musicians from the UK Latin and jazz scene, the project celebrates the warmth, groove and emotional depth of classic Cuban music while giving it a fresh and distinctive voice. Under Padron’s artistic direction, BBSC blends authenticity, elegance and fire with a contemporary Bristol edge, creating performances that are both rooted in tradition and boldly reimagined.

Since its launch, Buena Bristol Social Club has built a strong reputation for sold-out performances and powerful audience response, with sold-out shows at The Jam Jar, Bristol, Bristol Beacon – The Lantern, Frome Tree House, Eco Park Cornwall and Marine Theatre, Lyme Regis. At the heart of the project is Michel Padron’s vision: to create a living, breathing musical experience where Cuban tradition, Bristol identity and world-class musicianship meet on equal terms.

In January 2026, Buena Bristol Social Club launched Ataque Masivo — its bold tribute to Massive Attack— with a debut run of **three consecutive sold-out shows at The Jam Jar, Bristol.

Now, BBSC returns with Otro Ataque Masivo: a new and expanded edition of the production, featuring more music from Massive Attack’s legendary catalogue, reimagined through Cuban son, bolero, descarga, Latin jazz and Afro-Cuban rhythm. The result is a powerful meeting point between Havana and Bristol — where cinematic atmosphere, groove and emotional depth are filtered through the energy and musicianship of a world-class live Cuban band.

Created and directed by Michel Padron, Otro Ataque Masivo marks the final (and 2nd) Bristol edition of the Ataque Masivo production before Buena Bristol Social Club moves on to prepare its next major live concept.
