Eliza Carthy + Nick Hart | Bristol Folk Festival at The Trinity Centre

A gig held at The Trinity Centre on Saturday 29th April. The event starts at 19:30.

Eliza Carthy (MBE) is undoubtedly one of the most impressive & engaging performers of her generation. Part of an English music dynasty, Carthy has twice been nominated for the Mercury Prize & has won innumerable accolades & folk awards over her 25-year career. A renowned performer Eliza has collaborated with a diverse array of artists including Paul Weller, Rufus and Martha Wainwright, Kae Tempest, Patrick Wolf & Nick Cave.

Describing herself simply as a ‘modern English musician’ Eliza Carthy has revitalised folk music & captured the most hardened of dissenters with intelligent, charismatic and boundary-crossing performance.

Joined by long-time collaborators Saul Rose & David Delarre, Eliza is set to electrify Trinity.

“A voice that vehemently grabs you by the ear lobes, lifting you off the floor” Folk Radio UK

Nick Hart brings a feast of humour & humanity to his songs. An award-winning singer & multi-instrumentalist, his work with traditional English song is already marking him out as one of the most acclaimed performers of his generation.

Captivating & charming, enjoy lyrical storytelling at its very finest.

“Uncluttered, great singing that reminds me of the very best English roots singers… this is the real deal.” Mike Harding BBC Radio 2
