CMPND - "WE SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS AGES AGO" TOUR at 395
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Higher Focus’ gritty rooftop miscreants CMPND combine gutter-bass production with dense pass-the-mic lyricism - easily Brighton’s finest alt-rap three-piece. Don’t swerve FFO: Def Jux, billy woods, Coops, VerbZ, Jehst, Ocean Wisdom."

CMPND
"WE SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS AGES AGO" - THE TOUR

FRIDAY, 19TH APRIL 2024
8PM TILL 12AM
LIVE FROM 395

For the uniniated, CMPND (pronounced
compound) are a hybrid rap super group formed of producer and rapper Wundrop and MC’s Kemastry & Vitamin G. Coming off the back of their cult classic, Eagle Court (released on High Focus Records) the trio are  returned with more rawcus depraved antics with Eagle Court II: Long Live The Court. Picking up right where they left off mixing insanity and debauchery, pain and pleasure, introspection and surrealism into a deludamolic delacy for the audience to savour. One of their greatest attributes is their ability to express their unique personalities and musicality whilst simultaneously producing a coherent piece of art that stays true to CMPND’s underbelly ethos. Whether it be the mind bending production or the next level pen game, they are certainly bringing something truly unique to the table. It is impossible to understand the extent of CMPND’s synergy if you have not seen them live.  Despite having released no music at the time, CMPND were signed by High Focus off the strength of their live performances. Combining the trio’s limitless raw energy, years of honing their craft and stage presence together and their larger than life personalities guarantees you'll be screwfacing, neck snapping and throwing smaller members of the audience across the room in excitement. CMPND have devastated stages across the country including Fabric, Jazz Cafe and Concorde 2 as well as shelling down festivals from Boomtown to Outlook. With over a million plays combined across streaming platforms and having supported a roster of acts such as Mobb Deep, GZA, Ocean Wisdom and Slowthai, CMPND have the reach and ability to take any event to the next level.
