A
event
held at Unit 15
on Sunday 8th December. The event starts at 14:00.
I will demonstrate the basics of needle felting and then allow you to be freely creative. You may choose to make boldly patterned baubles, a robin, a snowman, or old St Nick himself. You could even paint a snowy scene or starry sky using the wool fibres, or embellish them with beads.
Needle felting is a simple art which is easy to learn. Using a special needle, wool roving is woven and manipulated into shapes and patterns. It's a bit like sculpting and painting with wool! With only a little guidance, you will soon be making your own beautiful creations.
Needle crafts are proven to have the same effect on the brain as meditation; promoting wellbeing, relaxation and focus. Needle felting does not work to a pattern, there is no counting or stitches to learn, allowing you to be freely creative.
All materials and a generous and varied supply of tea, coffee and festive goodies included. If you have any dietary requirements please let me know.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their grown up (not suitable for children under 12)
