Baby at Watershed
£6.00 - £11.50

A event held at Watershed on Monday 30th June. The event starts at 18:00.

When he is released from a juvenile detention centre, Wellington discovers his parents have upped sticks and left him to fend for himself on the streets of São Paulo.

Navigating sudden homelessness, Wellington escapes the night at a local porn theatre and cruising spot. Here he meets Ronaldo, a sex worker who serves as his mentor.

Director Marcelo Caetano follows 2017’s Body Electric with another bold and colourful yet earnest queer drama. Baby stresses the importance of a stable home – not just through physical spaces, but as a feeling; the need to be held, loved, and accepted for who we are.
