A food & drink performance in Bristol

Bristol's Food & Drink Scene

Bristol is well know as one of the premier food and drink destinations in the West. As well as being a top spot for music, our discerning citizens love a good bite to eat. New foodie areas like Wapping Wharf have appeared over the past few years - providing more choice than ever for visitors wanting to grab a bite.

With a strong vegan and health food community in districts like St Werburghs and Gloucester Road, there are a lot of events catering to these crowds too. The annual Vegfests provides ethically sourced food and drink as well as music. Werburghs' institution 'The Farm' run regular food events with a locally-sourced agenda. You can also look forward to events like Grillstock, Eggs Benedict Day or the more drinks-focused South Glos Food & Drink Festival and the UK Rum Festival.

What our editors say

“Join us this month for another upcycling workshop - focusing on using second hand fabrics to make something odd and interesting. The absurd is a space to put together the things which might not feel completely logical but beautiful just because - the perfect protest piece? Bring along something to which would love some new life, or use our second-hand fabrics to create a patch for later embellishment. The workshop is at the canteen and delicious food and drink available throughout! The Slow Fashion Social is a monthly workshop run by Weaving Change, exploring themes of fashion outside of consumption through mending making and imagining”

“This month we are making our summer wardrobe a little bit more sparkly by adding beads & buttons and embellishments too. Bring along something which needs an upgrade or create a design using our deadstock fabrics. All materials will be included and no previous experience is required for this workshop. The delicious food and drink at the Canteen will also be available through out the workshop. Except a laid back space, to craft & create and meet new people. The Slow Fashion Social is our monthly workshop at the Canteen, where we explore fashion outside of consumption. See you there.”
