A clubnight held at Basement 45 on Friday 17th July. The event starts at 22:00.
On 17th July 2026, the first-ever Blackm4il_ takeover at Basement 45, Bristol, is happening with a bang. A proper celebration of black, queer and feminine influence on electronic bass music culture.
We are delving deep into the personal style of local talents and croakhead ambassadors; Spicy Prawn, K-sha & Dsb as we explore jungle and minimal rollers drum and bass, old and new school, fully reminiscent of the Kemistry and Storm sound! All of these amazing women have played in Lakota, and some have boomtown debuts this year!
Hosted by Southampton-based, self-proclaimed bad gyal MC Whoopi Goldbarzz, whose eclectic style spans amapiano, dancehall, drum and bass and everything in between. alongside Blackm4il_’s founder and newsletter writer, Achiya, who has performed for the likes of Boxpark, All Points East and Lost Horizon, Bristol has never seen this combination before.
Blackm4il_ was founded to support women, people of colour and gender non-conforming people to celebrate uniqueness and embrace community within creativity and one another. Celebrate yourself, celebrate your women with this powerful lineup! 15% of your ticket money will be going to Music Venues Trust to save our scene and prevent our precious 3rd spaces.
