Last Movies with Stanley Schtinter at Bookhaus
See event details

A event held at Bookhaus on Friday 8th March. The event starts at 19:00.

We’re thrilled to be working in collaboration with Watershed and Tenement Press to launch Last Movies by Stanley Schtinter.

Last Movies remaps the first century of cinema according to the final films watched by a selection of its cultural icons, offering the opportunity to ‘see what those who see no more last saw’. Schtinter’s project embraces the role of chance and fate in shaping an alternative navigation of film history. From the weighty significance of Kurt Cobain’s last theatre trip to the conspiracy-rich reverberations of JFK’s favourite Bond flick.

This event marks the beginning of a month of screenings at Watershed to examine five of the movies included in the book through the lens of those for whom they were their last movies…
