The Unthanks
---------------
The Unthanks are masters of storytelling. Using the traditional music of the North East of England as a starting point, the band collect gems of story & sound, weaving them together with the rich influence of artists like Miles Davis, Sufjan Stevens, Antony & The Johnsons & Tom Waits to create music modern & timeless.
Regulars on BBC 6Music & Mercury Prize Nominees, The Unthanks can equally be found on Radios 2, 3 or 4 reframing history & drawing together the worlds of folk, jazz, orchestral, electronic & rock music.
“Few of their contemporaries, within both folk music & the wider artistic spectrum, have such a keenly-honed ability to locate in a song the emotional essence that can, in just a single phrase or vocal elision, cut one to the quick.” - The Independent
“The Unthanks are capable of such beauty that sometimes I can hardly bear to listen to them.” - Martin Freeman

Ye Vagabonds
---------------
The Mac Gloinn brothers – Brian & Diarmuid – first performed in the streets together as buskers & have since evolved into a robust collective – a sonically unique ensemble featuring layered acoustic & electric guitars, trumpet, upright bass, moog synthesizer, harmonium, bouzouki, fiddle, & the blood harmony of the siblings’ distinctive, multi-hued voices.
Described as "the fore of a new wave of Irish folk", Ye Vagabonds won Best Track, Best Album and Best Folk Group at RTE Radio 1 Folk Awards.
Their forthcoming and much anticipated new studio album, All Tied Together, was recorded live in an old Galway house, with acclaimed producer Phil Weinrobe (Big Thief, Adrienne Lenker) at the helm & is released in January 2026 via Rough Trade / River Lea.

The Breath
------------
The Breath is, singer/flautist Ríoghnach Connolly (BBC Folk Singer of the Year) & guitarist Stuart McCallum (The Cinematic Orchestra). An unlikely pairing of a softly-spoken guitar whizz, and a folk singer with a larger-than-life personality and a powerful voice to match, the connection was immediate.
For them it’s all about the song, Connolly is a storyteller and their exquisitely crafted, honest, personal, heartfelt songs are as likely to touch on childhood summers and first love as cultural dislocation, post- colonial injustices and grief. But it’s Ríoghnach’s impassioned delivery and extraordinary stop-you-in- your-tracks voice, coupled with Stuart’s understated brilliance that is so engaging.
The Breath have just completed a sold out tour, an acclaimed collaboration with Paraorchestra and will return to Bristol with third album ‘Land Of My Other’, ten original songs that tell stories in ways that soothe, stir, exalt, & touch emotional chords that will bring tears of lamenting joy, to your eyes.
‘folk roots but different horizons. The jaw-droppingly stunning, woozy voice of Ríoghnach Connolly” - The Guardian
