Keeley Forsyth at Bristol Beacon
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Transcendent pastoral bleakness, moor-ravaged voices, weezing harmonium and vast mist-soaked stringscapes; Keeley Forsyth’s sacred post-classical drift is a like a new religion FFO: Hilary Woods, late Scott Walker, Nico, Low, False Lankum, Kathryn Joseph."

An immersive and ceremonial show by singer and composer Keeley Forsyth, performing new material from forthcoming LP ‘The Hollow’.

Keeley Forsyth
Keeley Forsyth is a singer, composer and actor from Oldham. Her two LPs to date, 2020’s ‘Debris’ and 2022’s ‘Limbs’, garnered critical attention with stark, iconoclastic and emotionally-raw aesthetics; at moments reminiscent of Nico or ‘Tilt’ era Scott Walker, but all her own. New album ‘The Hollow’ showcases a more widescreen sound of string arrangements, thudding drums, kinetic hits and Forsyth’s singular voice, pushed to its full range and capacity.

Taking place from Thursday 25 - Sunday 28 April 2024, Bristol New Music is a city-wide festival of contemporary music and sound.
