Folk legend Martin Carthy stands as one of the most influential figures in British music.

A master guitarist, storyteller and interpreter of traditional song, his work has shaped generations – inspiring everyone from Bob Dylan and Paul Simon to the next wave of folk artists.

Now shortlisted for the 2025 Mercury Prize for his remarkable new record Transform Me Then Into A Fish, Martin continues to explore and reinvent the music that has defined his life. Marking his 84th birthday and six decades of artistry, the album revisits songs from his 1965 debut with fresh spirit and warmth. Join us for an evening celebrating a true national treasure, joined by a very special guest, as Martin Carthy performs timeless songs from across his extraordinary career.
