C Joynes + Paul Bradley + Friendly Records DJs at Chocolate Factory- Centrespace Gallery

A gig on Wednesday 2nd October. The event starts at 19:00.

C Joynes

We're really excited to be joined by C Joynes as he adventures into the South West to celebrate a wonderful explorative new record that draws on West African electric guitar sounds, shimmering Gamelan-like tones and North African intensity, all rooted in an experimental, English Folk tradition. Tonight he'll be plucking solo and in rich creative form.

Paul Bradley

Now more frequently enjoyed as one third of Three Cane Whale, it's a real treat to have Paul join us. On his own, or in stripped back company, Bradley's guitar playing is ever moving, weaving improvised patterns through folk and jazz idioms. Deeply thoughtful whether exploring cascading electric guitar delay or the intricate ring of his acoustic guitar. This will be a real treat.

Friendly Records DJs

We will be at work before, in-between and after the sessions selecting from the shop an expansive set from Sardinian Polyphonic folk singing to American Primitive masters, spiky Tuareg electric guitars and New York Bebop.

This evening is part of our emerging Friendly Records gig series and an enjoyable way to usher in the early notes of Autumn.
