Born from a woozy synth-fueled landscape, Pocket Sun fuse alternative pop, psychedelia, and jazz, moulding an outcome that is playful and tinged with nostalgia. Through ethereal melodies and hypnotic grooves, the ensemble invites you to lay back and feel the sunshine on your face or close your eyes and sway into synesthetic bliss.

Hailing from Bristol, UK, the band is spearheaded by lead vocalist and keys player Gina Tratt. Gina’s well-established background in animation and illustration features at the forefront of the band’s aesthetic, ensuring that each performance is a visual extension of their sound.

Lyrically, Pocket Sun pulls from universal themes such as escapism, self-awareness, and nostalgia, but with a unique poetic flair that embraces the spiritual depths of our collective experiences.

Pocket Sun have nurtured their sound over the past four years through a consistent series of singles and EP’s. ‘Wake Up’, the lead single from their latest EP ‘Binocular’ (produced by Ali Chant - PJ Harvey, Portishead, Gruff Rhys), went on to be re-released on Kitsuné, alongside artists such as Hot Chip, La Roux and Two Door Cinema Club.

The ensemble has continued to refine their live show, leading to performances across the United Kingdom. From headline festival slots (Inglefest) to their multi-sensory EP launch (Strange Brew, Bristol) the band continues to make an insistent and memorable impact on the UK’s live music scene.

Pocket Sun are currently working on their debut album which is due for release in Spring 2023.
