Nubiyan Twist at Lost Horizon
See event details

A gig held at Lost Horizon on Friday 17th September. The event starts at 20:00.

Woven around soul searching, cautionary tales and parables for modern life, Nubiyan Twist are a Leeds/London based collective creating “a beautiful blend of groovy dub with uplifting horns and soulful vocals” (The Guardian).

The group are a blend of virtuosic players, skilled producers and inspired composers who join forces to create a unique, infectious sound drawing on jazz, hip-hop, afrobeat, latin, soul, reggae and dance music.

The 10-piece are known for their ultra-tight musicianship and powerful big band sound. Back with their brand new album ‘Freedom Fables’, you can expect a “bombastic salvo of jive-inducing sonic influences” (NARC).

Age: 14+ (Under 18 to be accompanied by Adults)

This is a standing Bristol Beacon Presents show at SWX, 15 Nelson St, Bristol BS1 2JY
