The Brwmys + Blooming at Mr Wolfs
See event details

A gig held at Mr Wolfs on Friday 20th March. The event starts at 21:00.

THE BRWMYS Brwmys bring their high energy performances to pubs, clubs, and festivals over the South Wales area and beyond, with notable festival gigs including Greenman, Blue Lagoon, Big Love, and Between the Trees. WIth a current core of 5 members, and a musical style that merges folk, blues, jazz, and rock - it's hard to put the Brwmys in a box; Foot-stomping fusion folk is about as close as it gets! We often get asked 'What is a Brwmys?" Well, the truth is, no-one actually knows. There are many tales surrounding its origin but the truth is buried deep in the dark depths of time and madness! What we do know, is the band was founded by Dave Kenwrick and Paul Cottrell in 2010 and has been on quite the journey ever since. Picking up members like a rolling ball of moss in the woods, the Brwmys has collected upwards of 15 members over the years with a motto of 'Once a Brwmys always a Brwmys'. + BLOOMING Following the buzz of his first release this year, indie-folk rock songwriter Blooming will be bringing his second headline show of the year to Mr Wolfs! Celebrating the second single release ‘Road to Delphi’, Blooming has a voice reminiscent of Jeff Buckley and the stage presence of Michael Hutchens. With a sound blending the intricate storytelling depth of folk, the grooves of soul and the grit of rock Blooming will pull to soaring heights and back down to silence that reminds you where your heart is. Door Policy Mr Wolfs is an 18+ venue, please bring ID. Last entry with a ticket at 11:30pm, but all tickets holders are welcome to stay for the after show DJ until close. If you are planning to arrive later for the DJs, then payment will be taken on the door. We reserve the right to turn away large groups, in particular Stag Parties, Sports Socials or Pub Golf.
