Ishmael Ensemble at Rough Trade Bristol
Earlybird £8.72 incl. booking fee General £10.90 incl.

A gig held at Rough Trade Bristol on Thursday 2nd May. The event starts at 19:30.

With a sound that is rooted in jazz Ishmael Ensemble combine brass, beats and a “swirling blizzard of electronics” (Clash) to create mesmerising soundscapes. The brainchild of multi-instrumentalist & producer Pete Cunningham a.k.a. Ishmael, the band have quickly caught the attention of influential tastemakers such as Giles Peterson, Tom Robinson and just about everyone else. Their “rich and diverse sonic palette” (XLR8R) has helped them to create a unique sound and become ones to watch in the UK Jazz scene. We can’t wait to see the Bristol-based jazz collective play a hometown show at Rough Trade this May.
