Come and learn how to train to build muscle! We will look at the concept of 'hypertrophy' training, learning how to push our bodies hard whilst focusing on good and safe technique.
11:30-13:00 Workshop, Building Muscle for Beginners lead by Robin
13:00 - 13:30 A short break to get some lunch and connect. Attendees will need to bring their own lunch.
13:30 - 14:45 Sauna, we will have access to a 14 person sauna just for workshop attendees. The cold plunge area will be shared with another group.
This workshop will be coached by Robin Harrison.
Robin uses strength training, bodyweight exercises and weightlifting. Their aim is to provide a space where everyone can feel like they belong. He believes there is a lot of joy to be had in learning about your body and in getting stronger. Robin wants to create an environment where people have opportunities to connect with their body and with others.
Robin is a home-grown coach for Bristol Co-operative Gym. Coming to strength training from a queer and trans perspective, they found a home in their body after finding Bristol Co-operative Gym in 2018.
