The Other Way play Dystopian Soul music, with soulful vocals and lyrics about ecology and the future of humanity, plus a healthy slice of jazz, deep grooves, improvisation, and birdsong. Mike Flynn from Jazzwise called it “off-kilter jazz-punk with a funky edge”. Their influences include Robert Glasper, Wayne Shorter and Robert Wyatt. The Other Way received an Arts Council grant to work on their music through the lockdown times, and are now emerging, with a great lineup...
