Skydaddy + Mia Wilson + Nile Robinson at The Cube

A gig held at The Cube on Monday 31st August. The event starts at 19:15.

The Song Has No Ending present an evening of virtuoso songwriting from far and near FFO: Cameron Winter, Weyes Blood, BCNR, Rundgren, Nilsson

Skyadaddy

Skydaddy is the moniker of London-born Lebanese/Grenadian songwriter-producer/artist, Rachid Fakhre. He has released two mini-albums through his own label Bathtime Sounds as well as albums of his former project, Spang Sisters. This year he will be releasing his debut solo album and will be supporting Geese on their UK shows in the run-up. He (and his band) will be stopping off at The Cube for a very special show midway.

“A modern day chamber folk virtuoso redefining musical narratives” - Still Listening

Mia Wilson

Southern California singer-songwriter Mia Wilson (and band) will be gracing the cube with her debut UK performance before going on to play End of the Road Festival. Mia's self titled LP - Produced by Tim Ramsey (Vetiver, Little Wings, Kacey Johansing) - blends piano and guitar based compositions with lush orchestral arrangements to create a backdrop for her introspective lyrics and captivating mezzo-soprano vocals. The album recalls the golden glow of late 60’s & early 70’s LA records like Carole King’s Tapestry, Judee Sill’s Heart Food, and Jackson Browne’s Late For the Sky.

“Wilson moves across these nine tracks with poise and sophistication, like a well-travelled singer-songwriter who’s long honed their craft” - Shindig!

Nile Robinson

North Yorkshire born folk-songwriter Nile Robinson began performing live music after moving to Bristol in 2023. His work blends influences of American Primitive, Anti-Folk & Glock-Rock across an eclectic array of instrumentation.
