The Phantom Ensemble feat. Harriet Riley

Simiah (King Underground) is a beatsmith, using his MPC drum machine as a multi-tool for a whole range of sounds and interesting waves. He’s joined by Craig Crofton on saxophone and Dan Somers on keys for their residency every third Sunday of the month.

Originally from Devon, Harriet studied Orchestral Percussion at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She has experience in a range of genres from world music and orchestral, to jazz-funk band Tezeta and contemporary music with New Music in the South West. Harriet has recently recorded the debut album with Spindle Ensemble, an alternative, contemporary classical group supported by Adderwell Music. Their album, entitled Bea, was pressed to vinyl and released November 2017. Harriet works in a number of dance and theatre projects playing solo percussion, most recently for family theatre company Can't Sit Still. Their new show, Plink & Boo, will tour the UK starting Autumn 2018. Harriet won the Senior Soloist prize for Music in the Vale 2012 and the McGrenery chamber music prize 2014. She is now the composer and performer for projects such as Thimble Theatre and Cyrimba and has been freelancing in Bristol since she graduated.
