King Heron perform 'A Go Go' at The Gallimaufry
See event details

A gig held at The Gallimaufry on Tuesday 19th July. The event starts at 21:00.

Bristol fusion trio King Heron was created from the union of three different and distinct musical personalities. With improvisation, groove and a modern jazz mentality, they meld disparate influences into their own take on the guitar trio sound.

In this special, one-off performance, King Heron pay homage to a seminal album. John Scofield's 'A Go Go' is widely regarded as one of the most influential recordings in the funk/jazz realm. The Bristol trio will be interpreting their top tracks from this groovefest, in celebration of Scofield, Medeski, Martin and Wood's neo-funk universe.

Witness otherworldly musicianship and fall in love with King Heron's interpretation of this iconic album.
