A gig held at The Golden Lion on Saturday 17th October. The event starts at 21:00.
Henry Grace brings his raw, widescreen Americana and heart-on-sleeve songwriting to Bristol.
Moving from London to California at 21, Henry played his first shows in the small folk clubs, bars and coffee houses of Los Angeles and San Francisco. There he was introduced to the music of artists like Bon Iver and Hiss Golden Messenger, who helped shape his early writing and songs that would later appear on his self-released 2022 debut album, Alive In America.
Since returning home after five years in the States, his music has been championed by Clash, Americana UK, Under The Radar, and BBC Introducing. His new album, Things Are Moving All Around Me, was co-produced with Blaine Harrison of Mystery Jets and recorded mostly live at Middle Farm Studios in Devon.
Support comes from Bristol-based four-piece Dust Cup Release, whose debut EP There’s Nobody Home brings together tender songwriting and atmospheric instrumentation.
Doors 7pm. Henry Grace on stage 9pm.
