“
Strange Brew hosts the live debut of Belan - the double team of Catrina Davies & Andy Mac. Belan make d.i.y-pin-drop-acoustic songs, field recording collages and endless loops for horizon-fixed eyes. Beautifully woozy, tape-saturated ambient / folk warmth based around themes of loss, desire, freedom, redemption, and ecological obliteration.”

“Someone once called it Folk-Hop and Barrelhouse-pop, and that’s just vague enough to make sense. Honeyfeet have spent the past 9 years tearing around festival stages and theatres, clubs and fields melting down blues and pop, jazz and disco, pushing air molecules around with instruments and making friends in the process. It’s all very lovely. It helps that they are fronted by Ríoghnach Connolly “a remarkable singer and flautist who…can ease from Irish traditional influences to soul” (The Guardian).”

“Hailing from BS5, friends Bryn, Rhys and Zoe (aka Pagodas) play a unique blend of grungey indie-folk and '60s pop. Their sound is timeless and their mission is simple - seeding your brain with catchy melodies that you will wake up singing as they flower in the days, weeks and months to come.”

“In November 2019 Anglo-Scottish duo Blue Violet spent a month at Middle Farm Studios in Devon recording their debut album with producer Rob Ellis (Anna Calvi, Marianne Faithful, PJ Harvey). Sarah, a Scot with Parisian roots, teamed up with Sam a few years ago and between then and now the duo have lived between London and Sarah’s childhood home in Argyll.”

“Since its early inception at the Surrey Vaults (RIP), Slack Alice has committed to bringing a range of classic industrial, post-punk and EBM acts to Bristol such as Mick Harris (Napalm Death), Steve Mallinder (Cabaret Voltaire) and Test Department, pairing them with their favourite contemporary acts from the city and sometimes, further afield. To mark their fifth year of putting on events, they’re celebrating with a string of carefully curated nights, radio shows and a compilation featuring a string of past guests.”
