Events on Wednesday 6th April

“Lyra are delighted to host live readings from three poets recently published by Penned in the Margins, one of the UK’s leading independent publishers. The event will include back-to-back readings of exciting contemporary poetry featuring Inua Ellams (The Actual, 2020), John McCullough (Reckless Paper Birds, 2019) and Abi Palmer (Sanatorium, 2020). The readings will be followed by a book signing.”

“Join me for a light-hearted, and inclusive vinyasa flow class. Weaving together traditional Asana with mindful movement and mobility work, this class will help you find a deeper connection to your body and breath, promoting greater flexibility, ease of movement and a calmer mind for the rest of your week.”

“Taking inspiration from The Raven's unique cocktail menu, encompassing nature, tarot and burlesque, these two hour life drawing sessions are open to all abilities and are relaxed and laid back. Basic materials are provided in the ticket price, as is a welcome drink (alcoholic or non), as well two hours of life drawing, covering a range of poses of varying lengths, starting with two minute poses and ending with longer twenty minute poses.”

“Alex Kitson is an “on the money funny” award-winning stand-up comedian, performer and writer. He has been on bills alongside Russell Howard, Jon Richardson, Nish Kumar, Seann Walsh, Rosie Jones, Mark Watson, Fin Taylor and Jayde Adams among many others and reached the final of First Laugh 2020, New UK Online Comedian of the Year 2020, and the top 12 of Jason Manford’s New Act Competition in 2019. He also performed in two five star runs at the Edinburgh Fringe with the Bristol Revunions (‘The entire ensemble is hilarious. Properly, effortlessly, hilarious’ - EdFringe Review).”

“You'll see comedians battle against each other trading one liners and put downs to get the better of their opponents and go through to the next round. 16 comics start the tournament but there can be only be 1 King or Queen of roast left standing to win £400.”
