While no producer would regard themselves creating ‘footwork’ alone, the influence of the footwork and trap sounds have had a healthy knock-on effect within bass music in Bristol. Local heavyweight Addison Groove throws down his banging electro 808’s in footwork patterns (live!) while Sam Binga combines orchestral stabs and MC collaborations into the footwork mix. Bristol’s Artifact takes a different approach sprinkling syncopated footwork patterns amongst pristine techno.

We are so back: Baile do Futuro returns with a stacked crew of Brazilian electronic vanguards including grime DJ and producer ANTCONSTANTINO and Chediak’s genre-spanning blend of dnb, UKG and samba. Plus Feiurinha’s hard rave-pop x baile funk fusion and, of course, resident rabble rouser Gus. It’s gonna get rowdy.

What our editors say
“Joining them is Messie with their distinctive sound rooted in breaks, footwork and Baltimore club, Club Angel, one of Australia’s most electrifying and distinctive artists, as well as rising duo IN PARALLEL, who aim to reconceptualise the dance moments that sparked their initial love for the scene. Meanwhile, Motion resident SUFI brings her signature blend of new-wave UK Garage, raw 140 sounds, and baile funk to Motion’s outdoor stage. Plus more artists still to be announced!”

“There's no beef here, we're just aiming to provide the party in Bristol when most other promoters wouldn't dare! We've got free party flavours (including electro, tekno and hardtek) in room 1, funky techno, footwork and worldly rhythms to keep you wiggling in room 2, and a proper intimate DnB rave in room 3.”

“Shirley’s known for setting UK dancefloors ablaze with her signature blend of booty bass, breakbeat and jungle — and this record’s no different. Inspired by the chaos of her double life in the corporate world by day and the rave by night, the EP is a wild ride through flirty footwork, stomping jungle, and breakneck bass.”

“IZZI - DJ, radio host, and key figure in the DAYTIMERS collective—has carved out a vital space in London’s underground scene, using her platform to amplify underrepresented artists and sounds. With a style that defies easy categorisation, she blends leftfield techno, dancehall, dembow, amapiano, and gqom into a dynamic hybrid, while drawing rhythmic connections between ancestral sounds and cutting-edge club music. Both on air and behind the decks, her sets are carefully crafted to reflect diasporic narratives and challenge borders. After catching her explosive set Glastonbury’s Rum Shack, we just had to invite her for a Bristol session!”
